We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to support our fundraising team in ensuring that gift aid is claimed from all our income streams. This position is voluntary and is unpaid. Everyone within the charity is unpaid. Gift Aid donations are extremely important for our small charity, as it increases the value of a donation by 25%. This is a new volunteer position to help us streamline our gift aid claiming process.
Role Description
- Source Gift Aid data from our various fundraising platforms and income streams.
- Input Gift Aid data into excel spreadsheets for our finance officer to submit to HMRC.
- Comply with our data protection policy.
- Identify ways of improving gift aid collection.
- Be aware of how Gift Aid works.
- Help the fundraising team with other tasks that may arise not related to gift aid.
Location/Hours
- Remote role
- Ad hoc. Everyone within our charity either has a full time job outside of their volunteer work or is retired and volunteers their hours where possible and necessary.
What are we looking for?
- Experience working with Gift Aid data (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent organisational skills and is reliable.
- Trustworthy and professional as the post involves sensitive and contentious information.
- Works well within a team and is a motivated independent worker.
- Passionate about animals and conservation and has a good knowledge of UKWOTs work or is willing to learn.
- Have access to a computer and internet access.
